The book and movie i chose to compare was Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows Part 2.
As i was sitting there watching the movie it wasn't boring but at the same time, it wasn't all that great. However, the book was more so my movie. It was kind of like being right there in the book, imagining in your head that you are in the movie but it is in your head which could possibly give you a better understanding of what is really happening, or what could happen next either in the book or if you thought about it in the movie as well. But, that doesn't necessaraly mean that the movie is absolutely horrible compared to the book, I mean the movie was one that even when it got boring I still wanted to watch it. The movie kept me on the edge of my seat, but the book kept me guessing and even more interested to find out what was going to happen next. Putting more thoght iinto the movie and the book and thinking of the differences and what they had in common really adds more to one another.
For example, there was two other characters mentioned in the book, but not in the movie. Even the places and tasks were different in both the book and the movie. The beginnng of the movie started right from where Part 1 had ended. where as the book kind of recaped on Harry's life and the challenges he had to face, it started from the very beginning to let the reader know what the book id truely about as well as what Harry's life was all about. aNother difference was the amount of time both the book and the movie took until the end. Now, i think that the book would take a longer amount of time to read than it would to watch the movie, but thats just my opinion. I'd say the amount of time would be determined on how fast you can read the book. Therefore, even though they are different they are also a little bit the same as well. The only thing that surprised me the most was there wasn't an ending in the book there wasn't any information about who survived aor who died at the end of the book. On the other hand, the movie showed who lived who died and who was victorious at the end of the movie.
Both the movie and the book where very interesting to me and I would most definetley recommend both the book and the movie two anyone who hasn't seen the movie or read the book yet. I'd give them both five stars.
